Trails
and routes.

Around the reservoir you can build a day on foot, by bike or in a mixed rhythm. There are Cistercian traces, wooded shorelines, a ferry crossing and Samociążek, where several strong routes come together.

More than a beach and a jetty

Koronowo Reservoir works best when it is not reduced to one bathing spot. Around the water there is a second layer of the region: walking rings, longer cycling approaches, former monastic heritage and quieter stretches that only make sense once you give them a few hours.

Koronowo and the historic town fabric

Koronowo ring

Walk through Łąsko Wielkie, Byszewo and Grabina.

The older Koronowo ring route links lake scenery with regional heritage. It leads through Łąsko Wielkie, Buszkowo, Byszewo, Wiązowno, Grabina park and the former monastery area in Koronowo.

Cistercian route

Cycle from church to church.

This cycling route starts and ends in Koronowo. On the way it reaches Mąkowarsko, Łąsko Wielkie, Wierzchucin Królewski, Byszewo and Wtelno, where the old abbey landscape is still readable.

Ferry crossing on Koronowo Reservoir

Ferry loop

A ride across the reservoir, an old bridge and forest sections.

One of the better known community cycling loops around the reservoir measures 57.76 km and brings together a ferry crossing, an old bridge, the Sępolenka stream and a former narrow-gauge railway viaduct.

Samociążek by the reservoir

Samociążek

A smart base when you want several routes within reach.

Around Samociążek you can step into the yellow Leon Wyczółkowski trail, the green Koronowo Lakes trail, the blue Brda trail and the black White Coal trail, with cycling routes R-1 and BY 6001n nearby. It is a calmer gateway to the reservoir and a strong choice for a slower day outdoors.
